Job Description:  Hardwoods Incorporated is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join the growing team. This dynamic individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers, actively prospecting for new accounts, and maximizing sales potential with existing customers. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in sales ideally with experience in the hardwoods or building materials industries. The candidate must also have excellent organizational, communication, and decision making skills.
 
The position reports to the Branch Manager and offers a competitive salary, performance based commission, and excellent benefits package.
 
The candidate must:
  • Plan and execute personal sales strategy to maximize efforts and results
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective and existing customers through in-person, onsite presentations, meetings, and client/prospect entertainment
  • Research and identify sales opportunities through work with internal associates, industry publications, online sources, and client and vendor networking
  • Prepare for client and prospect meetings by conducting outbound calls, scheduling visits, developing presentations and marketing materials
  • Develop and deliver effective sales presentations to negotiate and close profitable business across all products and services
  • Consult with clients to determine requirements and expectations and recommend specific solutions; calculate estimates to provide competitive pricing
  • Obtain and maintain complete and accurate information on prospective and existing clients in contact management database
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints
  • Monitor monthly sales activity against goals and prepare regular sales reports for company management
Requirements:  The candidate will:
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales: architectural, design, or hardwood industry experience preferred
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or have comparable experience
  • Act with a high degree of professionalism with the ability to build trust and gain the confidence and respect of others, both within and outside of Atlanta Hardwood
  • Possess strong persuasion and negotiation skills with the ability to use a consultative approach to close sales
  • Be an adaptable, results oriented, team player dedicated to supporting the corporate objectives and exceeding sales goals
  • Have outstanding multi-tasking, problem solving, and decision making skills with the ability to complete difficult assignments and make sound business judgments in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Be a customer-focused listener in order to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Strive for continuous improvement; maintaining a strong understanding of the business, our products and services, competitors, and market trends
  • Demonstrate a proficiency in territory analysis and be able to identify and develop new client and market opportunities
  • Be computer proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with Agility software helpful
