Commercial Design, Veneer-Wrapped Mouldings

Five prefinished moulding and jamb profiles were used for construction of the Mauna Kea Resort in Hawaii. Prefinished wood-wrapped trim and mouldings were manufactured with a finger-jointed pine core and Khaya veneer. For lower installed costs, the mouldings were prefinished with a high quality stain and topcoat, providing consistent color and style throughout the extensive project. In total, eight shipments with roughly 70,000 lineal feet of Khaya-wrapped mouldings, jambs, casings and trim in five different profiles were delivered to the Big Island site. Hardwoods Incorporated is the exclusive distributor of Contact Industries veneer-wrapped moulding in the Southeast. Download a full case study for this project.
